Sometimes I think my life could be a talk show. I talk too much and that’s why I write.
My name is Melissa Atkinson. I live outside of Portland, Oregon with my husband Jeff and most of our kids. I have a daughter and a son, and Jeff brought his four kids into our lives. We really are the updated Brady Bunch, and I couldn’t be happier. Our kids are from ages 13-24, with two grandsons who make us complete.
I started writing seriously in 2013 when a story idea wouldn’t leave me alone until I wrote it. That turned into my first novel. I have one completed young adult fantasy (Angel’s Run) that probably won’t do anything, but it was a good starter novel, and I learned a lot from it. I also have a self published (Amazon) women’s holiday romance novella (Christmas, The Movie). My first young adult paranormal novel The Ghost From Nowhere is going to be released soon, and will be available for pre-order in October 2016.
Here is my official Author bio:
Melissa Atkinson started writing paranormal novels in 2014, after she attended her first “Ghost Walk”, and witnessed a paranormal event that she still can’t explain. She continues to go on investigations, attend paranormal conferences and get the inspiration for new characters and new stories. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, and blended family of seven.
